About Me
I received a Master in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Emperors College of Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, California in 2008. I received board certification in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2009. Furthering my knowledge, I received a clinical Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, specializing in Oncology and Advanced Pain Management, from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington in 2011.
I have studied at Sichuan Provincial Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine in Chengdu, China and Long Hua Hospital in Shanghai, China were I further advanced my knowledge in Chinese medicine and cancer care. Holding an active license in Washington state, I have been practicing for 13 years and have held positions at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Seattle Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center, and Salish Integrative Oncology Center; the first of its kind to be owned by a Native American tribe in Tacoma, Washington.
During my work at cancer centers, I had the great opportunity to work alongside medical oncologists, radioligists, naturopathic physicians, mind/body medicine therapists, advanced nurse practitioners, chiropractors, and massage therapists, attended tumor boards where complicated cancer cases were discussed, observed surgical procedures, and treated hospitalized in-patients for post-operative care.
